MIRACIIDAE Dana, 1846 (Willen, 2002) (syn. DIOSACCIDAE Sars, 1906)
DIOSACCINAE Sars,1906 Wells (1967) established the monotypic genus Actopsyllus based on specimens from Ilha dos Portuguesos, Mozambique. Kunz (1971) added a second species that was later moved by Wells & Rao (1976) because the species lacked a strong claw on the male P2 endopod. More recently, Bouck & Thistle (2003) described a second, valid species from Mexico.
